Curation policy

How a game earns a place on the shelf.

Selection is based on verifiable permission, local playability, understandable controls, and an honest source record—not on repository popularity alone.

License first

A game must have an explicit license that permits redistribution. Public source without a license is not enough. Separate asset and audio terms are checked when the repository calls them out.

Local by default

Play files are served from Pocket Parlor. Remote fonts, analytics, social widgets, and unnecessary external navigation are removed where practical. The parent page waits for a deliberate start action before loading the game.

Pinned and documented

Each game records the exact reviewed commit and keeps its local license text. Adaptations are described on the game page and in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.

Corrections and removal

Credits or license records are corrected when reliable evidence changes. A game can be removed if its permission is unclear, its dependencies become unsafe, or it no longer works in supported browsers.
